Masquerade

Trying out the Cascade poem as originated by Udit Bhatia.

Unmasked

 I hadn’t seen you standing there.

Replay the last five minutes

What could you have seen?

My armor’s forgotten in the corner

*  *  *

Your eyes pierce right through me and I

feel fresh wounds pool with blood.  I’m

oozing shame.  If only

I hadn’t seen you standing there.

*  *  *

You do not look away or smirk

at my full exposure.  No

scornful gaze as you

replay the last five minutes.

*  *  *

I thought I was a star at day

There, but invisible to

 all — not enough shine.

What could you have seen?

*  *  *

Gravitational pull shrinks space

Suddenly you’re here with me

Your arms wrap my waist

My armor’s forgotten in the corner.

  1. one thing about me is that i always forgot and leave my armour behind- if you see me closely, i have more wounds to display than the man up on the cross!

  2. Please return favors to poets who were here,
    Thank you in advance…
    everyone needs encouragement…
    Happy Friday!

    I have sent this to every poet in my list.
