Howl at the “Lune”

Trying my hand at “Lune,” which is an American haiku (format:  5/3/5).

Wind takes its best shot

I stand there

A willing target

***

Perhaps the question

is void when

the answer’s there first

***

Forget what’s behind

Take only

smile lines with you

  1. I enoyed your haiku…one question though…I though Lune counted words not syllable where line one is three words, line two five words, and line three three words…I may be mistaken on this but that is what I recall since it was designed to make poetry writing easy for children. 😉

    1. Thank you!!! Hm…interesting. I bet you’re right. I stumbled upon an article today about Lune (that being the first I’d ever heard of it), and just followed what it said. What you described sounds much more fun! I’ll have to give it a shot!
